Well, I'm afraid I probably would cause a delay (what with having to get to Oz and properly pleasure Lady K and our Sage, and all), so I'd better not. She said regretfully. Now, I made myself a rule that I'd not play in these challenges (sometimes I'm stumped, and more often I know from Ed far more than what got published, so my answers will be frustrating to all). However, I could cajole by means of posts, here . . .
So, DARLING Sage, should my long, lithe fingers do a little walking?

Let's hope it's on Nimbral, as opposed to diving through the Cormyr thread... |

Confound it! The Lady K has absconded with the source I was going to use.
Thus, I've had to grab what was closest at hand for the source of my next question:-
There is cavern-catacomb fortress set in the heart of Mount Halaragh. What is the name of the fortress and who are the inhabitants that live there? |

I don't know who lives there now, but up until Arauthator, "Old White Death," tore through Bulindiful, there was a community of frost giants living there.
A parenthetical comment in a thirteen year old Dragon article--you go, Sage! If I hadn't just gone back to pull out the Wyrms of the North issues that would have taken me a while!
Holler if I'm right and I'll spin my edition wheel!

Correct.
And for those curious about which issue Christopher is referring to, 'tis DRAGON #230, which I just happened to have easy access to while tinkering with the concept of the Orbs of Dragonkind.
The next question is yours, Mr. Rowe. |

Oh, I CAN'T resist. Mr. Rowe, you ask "Where is the corpse of Lolth?" And I reply:
In a jar, on Ed's desk. A big one.
There. I can't help what the published lore says, that's the truth. One of my fellow players had it for a while, when she was living in residence in university (it came in handy when they did bedchecks; they dried Lolth off and left her "sleeping" in bed whilst they went out trysting), but when she graduated, she brought her trophy back. There is no truth to the rumor that the local artists' group borrows her from time to time when they're drawing nudes (ahem, doing "life drawing"). The truth is, they borrow ME. love, THO P.S. So, what do I win? |

Guess it's hint time!
The "Corpse of Lolth" is a colloquial toponym.

Let's do another hint. Kilvan was on the trail with his answer, in guessing that we're looking for a temple or tabernacle of Lolth, but they have those even on the prime material plane, don't they?

Am I allowed a question? I'd like to know if the answer is found in the The Lady Penitent serie. (could be your next hint, if no one found it) |

Where is the Corpse of Lolth?
Corpse of Lolth is what Dambrathans call the remains of Cathyr. |

That's correct! And for Fillow's benefit, Glaurach is referring to a passage on page 115 of the Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide:
Dambrathans call the remains of Cathyr "the Corpse of Lolth" because of a spider-shaped temple that squats amid the ruins.
You have the floor, Glaurach, ask away! (Oh, and I notice from your post count that you're, perhaps, new to the Keep. If so, welcome!)
Cheers!

I am not sure if this had been asked before. I searched the forum but found nothing. Hope that I did not give an existed question.
It is a three-facets gem-statue: one reads a book, one writes on a scroll, and one is in prayer. What is the name of this statue? |

Hint: The statue is actually the metamorphosed remains of three ancient elf historians and lorekeepers. |

I guess we need another hint. Maybe one about the source instead of the statue? |

Not bad, just a little more obscure than most people were ready for.
Your source clue nicely narrows it down, though. |

Actually, I'm kinda surprised the earlier hint about Aryselmalyr didn't ring any bells.
Ah, well.
It did, but I always forget about the module. |

Unfortunatly, I don't have that. So it's up to all of you, dear scribes, to solve this mystery. /Cheer |
