1293 Year of the Talking Skull the sixth Emperor of Shoul Lung dies of old age and is given the deific name ch'uan (dog) for his faithful service to the memories of his forebears. His son becomes the seventh Emperor Chin. |

Ok here we go:
During the TOT, we know Bane absorbed the essence of all the Bhaal worshipping Assassins in Faerun. But it turns out there was one who was too strong willed to be absorbed.
What was his name? What ultimately was his fate? And for a bonus: What "title" did he have?

Here is the question again :
During the TOT, we know Bane absorbed the essence of all the Bhaal worshipping Assassins in Faerun. But it turns out there was one who was too strong willed to be absorbed.
What was his name? What ultimately was his fate? And for a bonus: What "title" did he have?
Hint : He earned his title for a particular type of people he preferred to kill.

Eytan Bernstein's article expanding on the Binders from the Tome of Magic says this:
"During the Time of Troubles, Bane absorbed the essence of all of the Bhaal-worshipping assassins in the world during his fight with Torm, greatly weakening Bhaal. The most despicable of the assassins, a strong-willed murderer by the name of Marchosias, would not be so easily subsumed." |

While in hell, Marchosias was attacked by a throng of assassins and thugs he had murdered. In life, the assassin's favorite targets had been thieves, thugs, and murderers. In death, they were his undoing. His soul was torn to pieces by the legions of his victims, and he became a vestige in the void between space and time."

Edit to add: Never mind about the novel question, I went back to the first post and read this from Wooly:
1. All questions must come from a novel, sourcebook, official TSR/WotC web release, or Dragon magazine. Lore originating solely from computer games (including their manuals), comic books, mailing lists (like Realms-L), forums (including this one), apocryphal sources such as the Double Diamond Triangle Saga, or any other unofficial TSR/WotC source are disallowed. Polyhedron and Dungeon magazines are similarly off-limits; while they did contain official Realms material, Dragon had a lot more such material and a wider reader base. Dragon was also where the Realms first saw print, so it's only fitting to include it.
It's only fair if we use non-obscure material that everyone has a reasonable chance of easily obtaining. |

But, if you have a question or issue with Marchosias's story it would be an excellent question for Eytan in his scroll in the Chamber of Sages!

This person may be said to have been the boldest chef in history of the Realms. An itinerant adventurer and cook-for-hire (but only for a tenday or so), this character sought a rather unusual ingredient, one needed for the recipes in a rather unusual--and unusually ancient--cookbook.
