There were genasi municipalities in Faerūn even before Akanūl came crashing down and the Second Era of Skyfire. One was led by a druid in the service of Grumbar. What was this place called, where was it located, and who was its leader?

I like Christopher questions ! They are always with extension leads questions ! In France, we call it Questions with drawers. And Christopher has always several drawers.

Do you mean the answers lead to more questions?
In fact, I meant Christopher is not "able" to ask a single question like
"Who is the father of Rinda?",
or "Where does Bevis the illuminator live?",
or "Quote the two most popular books that Rinda wrote?".
Each time it's his round to ask he makes questions as
"Who is Bevis the illuminator's daughter ? Where does she live? Quote the two most popular books that she wrote?". |

This is the third question I've posed over the last several weeks. The first was from a 4th Edition book, the second was from a 2nd Edition source. This question--seeking lore about a place in Faerūn--is from yet a third edition.

Okay, my 5 days are up and I can answer:
The location is Earth's End which can be found in the Underdark (specifically the lower levels of Great Bhaerynden). The leader is Speleosa Turska Underwalk (Underdark, p.147).
Okay, if that's right, my question is as promised, an obscure one:
Which realm was first settled by individuals seeking to harvest its stands of huge, high quality iliyr-wood timber which was much prized in shipbuilding?

"Beyond the Fox ridge, in the region of Shadowdale, is a great cavern known as the Grinding Gulf, where flying boulders
cascade in magical (and destructive) dances. Elminster and Florin Falconhand, who have examined this part of the cave, determined that it did not present an immediate threat, and as such did not press past the Grinding Gulf."
