I've always been very fond of the Realms. From DMing it to reading the novels. I think I fell in love the first time I DMed. By chance, I was able to find these halls of cooler heads in times when everyone on other boards seems to be screaming and hurling insults. So I think I'll settle in for bit. I'm by no means as well learned as Good Alaundo, but I do love the Realms. I will gladly engage in friendly discussion and debate about them with all who care to.

Again, thank you, Alaundo, for letting me join the scribes.
And the scribes, for your keeping, this place what it seems to have drawn me here.

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Well met, Realcrowjoe. This is a fun and exciting place to be. Glad you decided to join us.

(Don't let Wooly fool you, though, they're we're strange more than occasionally.)

Anyone who likes to read something that's really dark and gritty and completely awesome ought to read The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks. You can check out a little taste at www.BrentWeeks.com I should probably warn you, though, that it is definitely not PG-13 :-D

He also started a new Trilogy with Black Prism, which may even surpass the Night Angel Trilogy in its awesomeness.

Thank you for the warm welcome.
with a pat on the head of the Giant Space Hamster of Ill Omen, fondly remembering the last time I saw one attached to a gnomish repeating crossbow that one of that one of my players spent a fortune to commission, and the not so fond look the player had on his face upon seeing the device for the first time.
