I've seen people posting link to a specific reply, rather than the whole thread, how is it done?

Thanks.

I didn't mean quoting, I meant posting a link that leads to a specific post in a specific thread.

I asked this question awhile back and got an answer, so it feels nice to help out.

1. Click the reply tab on the post you want to link directly to and look at the link in your browser. Here is the link if you qoute Artemas' first reply in this thread: http://forum.candlekeep.com/post.asp?method=ReplyQuote&REPLY_ID=468304&TOPIC_ID=20132&FORUM_ID=18

2. Identify the reply ID number. In this case it's 468304.

3. Go back to the thread the post you want to link to is found in. For this thread, it's http://forum.candlekeep.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=20132.

4. Add "#" and the reply ID number to the end of the thread's link. So http://forum.candlekeep.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=20132#468304

5. Put everything in brackets like normal, and you have your link.

Look for me and my content at EN World (user name: sanishiver).

Thanks!

Also, found out that for a thread with multiple pages, you need to format the link like this:

http://forum.candlekeep.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=X&whichpage=Y#Z

X is the topic ID, Y the number of the page containing the post and Z the ID of the post.
