What it says on the tin.

There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist.

Didn't we use to have a scribe named "Winterfox", here? If so, the account now appears to be gone.

There was, and she still turns up in the membership roll.

More importantly, based on what I remember from her posting style, it does sound like the same person the blog is talking about - suggesting we should be happy things didn't get any worse around here (and that our dear moderators deserve a pat on the back).

And apologies for not having anything more uplifting to make for my first post since I don't know when.

The Candlekeep Winterfox and the one noted in the link don't appear to be the same. Mind you Winterfox last posted here 8 years ago. Maybe she/he moved on to bigger and better things ...

So... some sort of American socialist yeller/provocateur was double dealing as both pet "token" and (surprise! gasp!) pocket robespierre of an internet lynchmob... then got sniffed out and had unwashed fingers pointed at its trollface. Which was summarized and trumpeted far and wide by another American socialist... on account of the subject being too damn annoying to just about everyone and as such also being supposedly disadvantageous for the ancient proud profession of pet tokens (actually it's unlikely - the whole disgusting "token" deal is preaching to the choir in the first place - but who cares).
Thus now it's wannabe robespierre's time to be mobbed and being pelted with rotten stuff by the rest of 'em.
Yup, it happens. Probably all the time.
Wait, you wrote "interest". Doesn't this imply something new?

Aye. It's the only forum not run directly by author(s) known to me that doesn't have obvious, ahem, "community organizers" in high places.
Which often is enough. Heh.

Yup, mostly looked too sane for that, maybe a bit naive. I know that sanity is highly variable, yes.
On the other eyestalk, dere was too much Ego in someone's Cosmos (and easily bruised at that). Dot is der soul-custom of poo flinging internet lynchmobs.
On the third eyestalk, a big portion of posters on teh internetz are people with soapbubble ego and delusions of being reviewers. And it's not a terribly original name, and there's no way something with self-importance of an internet lynchmobber won't search for its own nickname. So the only real connection is LJ community bash_em, which was deleted and purged wholesale.

Actually, I know that the Winterfox that posted here is or was a moderator at fanfiction.net. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that it is one and the same.
