Interesting...
I'm surprised it has taken them this long to release a Beholder model (IIRC The other model was a Gauth- but I could be wrong)
Another Gold dragon?
The Ettin Could be good fun specially I'f you combine it with the "Two heads are better than one" artical.
Mummy Lord, Death Knight & Necromancer brought to mini due to LM?
And will the Angelfire contain losts of Celestials?

Wow The Beholder looks brilliant, knowing WOTC however it will be a hard to come by rare.
I say this because IMO some Rare models are more common that other ones, but such is life when a CCG company is in charge!

Just keep in mind it is a CMG first, and a source of neat figs for RP second. I have been greatly blessed by the crack like nature of the game, and near uselessnes of many models in play. With standard minis, a hunk of metal/plastic is worth the same as any otehr similiarly sized hunk of metal/plastic, but here I can fill out my hordes of low end monsters at bargain basement prices.
All those who play the game and buy them by the case: Feed the monkey! Fill the market with tons of cheap singles... |

Yar Cap'n I've never played the miniature game and I'm not planning on. However I do know what you mean about filling the lower level encounters out.
However I don't buy the packets from my store but rather hunt ebay for the minis that I want. This allows me to still keep the cheap prices but also to purchase the models that I need!

theyve done a better job with distribution in the more recent sets
I bought 2 cases of GOL and had at least one of every rare (bar 1) including all the Huge minis both Rare and Uncommon |

I was at a seminar at Gen Con (can't remember if it was D&D General or What's New from WotC) where they showed us a photo of the beholder miniature; the photo on the linked page does not do it justice. It's gorgeous. |

That's great .
Now, do we know what they'll be?
Well the Mummy Lord and Death Knight will be 2 of the 13 and Libris Mortis is one of the source for DK |

Ah... but are these the couatl who are the ancient enemeies of the rakshasas in Eberron myth... or just the standard followers of Jazirian?

Just in case someone misses The Sage's post, the January "In the Works" offers glimpses of Mummy Lord, Large Blue Dragon, and Dire Bear. Check out the bottom of this article. |

Appologies i suffer from Chronic Typos!
I did indeed mean Boneclaws, am I right in saying they feature in LM? I actually have this book but cannot reach any of my 3E books, only my 2nd E (I'm at the wrong house)

Indeed they do. They're a rather interesting sort of "undead" actually. Although, I'm not really sure how popular they'd be in the Realms.

Ed actually introduced a Boneclaw into the realms in one of his recent responses (I seem to recall he was responding to a question about some islands off the Sword coast)
PS My players have told me that if I ever use a Boneclaw in a campaign that they will rename their characters Freeman, Shepard and Calhoon |

lol I'm home tomorrow so i'll be reading through my copy of LM to find out about the Boneclaw.
Perhaps Dargoth if your campaign features Boneclaws, you could reward your characters with HEV suits and also pump action shotguns....
hmmm
...perhaps not!
