I speculated whether Zariel trained the first hellreavers (Fiendish Codex II) in the Realms cosmology before her fall. In light of the Descent Into Avernus adventure, perhaps adventurers learned more about Zariel's adventures before her fall. Whether or not she is redeemed, her legacy includes secrets to unlock hellreaver abilities unknown in the present day. Some of these abilities may prove lethal to their users who are not already celestials themselves.
Right now, I have only non-canonical fluff meant for plot hooks.
