We are having another contest of at the Fans of Ed Greenwood and the Mages and Sages Podcast!

You can win a game with the Old Mage himself and his cohorts from the podcast!

How you ask? Just send in a video of why Ed should pick you for the game and we will announce the winners in a future podcast!

Just send your submissions to: fansofedgreenwood@gmail.com and we will forward them to the Old Mage.

Good luck to everyone!

Mod edit: Found this floating in the ethers and moved it.

The only good Drow, is a dead Drow.

Is/are the game(s) person to person or something like Zoom?

Not that it matters much to me as I can not make a video.

"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards."
"Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding.
"After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."

It is via Zoom and Twitch-streamed at the same time as I recall.

According to the Facebook, the deadline for contest entries ended only yesterday (Saturday). I assume that's too early to have picked a winner?

Will ask here to not make a new topic. Is there any planned Meeting with the Sages in the near future?

Following up on this, from the Fans of Ed Greenwood FB page;
quote:

The Old Mage has devoured the videos and has belched forth the winners!
The winners of the 2021 Gaming with the Old Mage and Friends contest are:

Nicola De Marco
Peter Cardona
Lukas John Pedersen Saleh

Congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to all those who entered the contest! These three lucky fans will be playing with me, Curry, Ed Greenwood, George Krashos, Eric Boyd and Steven Schend. We will be looking at about a 5-6 hour game so make sure to have your snacks!

The game is still set for Saturday, July 17th. Start time will be between 9:00am and 10:00am Eastern Time U.S.

I will be setting up a DM chat with the winners so they can choose their characters.

I can only reveal a small part of the game thus far. It will take place in Cormyr and will be edition neutral game of intrigue. Ed is writing this specifically for the game and copies of the adventure will be available at a later date.

The game will be simulcast on our Twitch channel so don't miss the event!

If for any reason any of the winners cannot make it to the game, please let us know as soon as you can so we can pick another person. If there are any changes to the scheduled date and time, I will let everyone know.

Will this video be available elsewhere after it initially airs? Like YouTube? Thanks.

The party come to a town befallen by hysteria

Rogue: So what's in the general store?
DM: What are you looking for?
Rogue: Whatevers in the store.
DM: Like what?
Rogue: Everything.
DM: There is a lot of stuff.
Rogue: Is there a cart outside?
DM: (rolls) Yes.
Rogue: We'll take it all, we may need it for the greater good.
