Well met wise sages,
I'm currently DMing for my friend my first campaign in the realms. It is very story-driven, and we are starting him at level 0, the idea that we are going to "play his backstory." He also is an elf, so we thought it would be cool if we started further back in time Dalereckoning-wise, so by the time he got to the current date he would be older. My friend wanted to have some years under his belt by 1495 DR (Which is believe is the current start date) so we ended up starting our adventure in 1285. We're four sessions in and it's 1286 and my friend just walked through a portal taking him to Ilighon near Turmish.
So my main questions to you sages are as follows,
1) What resources are there for Turmish in general? I'm aware of the Vilhon Reach and old FRCS sourcebooks. Are there others? I'm more than happy to look at unofficial and fan-made materials.
2) Does anyone have any specific information about things happening in the Vilhon Reach around 1286? More broadly speaking, anything cool happening in the wider area at that time?
