Well met

As most of you are aware, Candlekeep has been unavailable for a couple of days. The "catastrophic failure" error occured again; this is due to a limitation with the version of the web server with various sites using shared resources and application pools.

I have since had the forum moved to later version of the server which eliminates this problem. So we should be fine from now on

Apologies for any inconvenience.

I second this. I needed my Realms fix these past few days...

"Sweet water and light laughter until next we meet." - traditional elven farewell

Please forgive any spelling and grammer errors, as my android touch-screen phone has no spellchecker. If I do make a grammer mistake, please let me know and I'll try to fix it.

New laptop, still trying to sort my "scrolls" on its shelves...and when will this cursed thing stop doing things I tell it not to?

Well, for future reference, if you are ever desperate for a Realms fix and Candlekeep isn't available then the wiki is always looking for sages to edit pages.

I kinda like it, but orange on black is never a good colour combination in the long run

Actually, I find it makes for better visibility than the previous combination.

Very glad to see the site back!

I was ineffectually doing CPR on the site (aka clicking the refresh button), but to no avail......

Am I the only one getting extremely slow laoding times and the occasional '500 - internal server error' that won't allow the page to show up?

I am encountering 500 error sometimes and slow loading times the few times I load or post.

"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards."
"Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding.
"After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."

No, I'm getting it quite badly, myself... I can't even delete duplicate posts.

Working fine here, and I kinda like the new colour scheme, switch up those dusty old scrolls with a little bling, yeah thats how I roll my quills.

I suppose my planeswalking experience might have given me a slight advantage. Candlekeep mysteriously disappeared from the Realms for a few days? Evidently momentarily transposed to the modron-occupied Demiplane of Archiving, no biggie.

I was getting the same thing off and on. It's ok now, I just got back home but it was really bad earlier.

Yeah, it's running fine for me, now... But earlier, I was getting a lot of 500 Internal Server errors, and was having to refresh several times to get the pages up...

I've only had to deal with a couple of 500 Internal Server errors popping up, mostly having problems with slow loading time (especially when I try to access a new thread).

Hehe.

It wasn't me. I haven't been frequenting Candlekeep as much as I used to because I've been assigned to work on a "Super-Secret Project" [for the last four months] that won't see the light of day until at least late October/early November. So I've not had the time for much else besides work, the Project, and family.

But with my part of the Project slowly finishing up, now, I should be able to return to reading/posting at Candlekeep. I have a few months' worth of posts to catch-up on.

Which, given Sagetime, means he'll get caught up in about 5 years.

Good job Alaundo - but next time, try to see these things coming... what good is being a profit if you don't look ahead once in a while :P
