(Not to be confused with the Glossary of Phrases, Sayings & Words of the Realms scroll.)

I'll readily admit this is really more about Old English and Middle English than it is about Auld Common (Thorass) or High Gygaxian, but such obsolete vocabularies inspire all sorts of "authenticity" within the Realms where people presumably speak this way.

Already my players timidly beek and croodle at my expansive (if sometimes malagrugrous and quagswagging) perissology. It's a fine way to introduce local dialects and confusions, because half the time people in one village use different vocabulary (or even worse, the same vocabulary!) in entirely different ways. Call it aberdoxy if you will.

Already I'm imagining new NPCs like Jollux of Ordulin and Dringle Trendleson.
