Ah, the Batship. A personal favorite!

...Though I'll admit to not knowing the answer off the top of my head. I like that supplement, but it's not something I've had reason to flip thru recently.

I think the answer was a female human wizard with a name I can't recall at the moment!

Close enough for me, Red Walker. Her name is Burnayette Skyansdanya (Realmspace, p.90). The floor is yours.

I've found the answer on the internet, but the answer is from a source I don't have (and haven't read yet). I do have another question ready, so if no one posts in the next day or so, I'll post it.

He/She/It/They must be a (green?) dragon, but I have no idea who. Perhaps my guess will help others as a hint.

I will say that is right so far...but there is a name I am looking for.

And it starts with a G.

In the book elfsong i believe the first chapter Khleben blackstaff makes a joke about the green dragon Grimnoshtadrano

No, I would not want to live in a world without dragons, as I would not want to live in a world without magic, for that is a world without mystery, and that is a world without faith. And that, I fear, for any reasoning, conscious being, would be the cruelest trick of all.

Wasn't it a loregem (I forget which kind, but I think it was a selukiira)? IIRC it was the gem that allowed him to 'learn' High Magic 'on the fly' and turned him into a half-eladrin.
I forget which book this is from (I'm AFB) but I think it was Forsaken House.

LOL, I'd actually forgotten about this: I'll have something up in a few hours. I'm recovering from strenuous efforts on my behalf during Fat Tuesday celebrations last night, and can't think very clearly just now.

OK- here goes- I have a feeling that this will be either ridiculously easy or impossible:
This individual is known as the Grey Druid
