I am sure some of you have all ready seen this but I wanted to share it for those who haven't. Personally I thought it was totally corny:

But at least this one is kind of funny. I couldn't even watch two minutes of the previous one.

Well, I'm certainly not nominating it for any Oscars, but I thought it was a fun, fairly well written and well acted adventure film that captured a lot of the feel of a D&D campaign. I also liked the idea of following a protagonist that was forced to compromise his ideals for the greater good.

The inclusion of a shadar-kai and a goliath, and complete absence of elves, was a plus.

You're joking, right? If not, well, I respect that. We clearly see things differently.

I enjoyed the Book of Vile Darkness. On it's own it was definitely the best of the D&D movies, and it had decent effects for a low budget picture.

Er---I don't know, because... maybe I don't care.

This was a school project with virtually zero budget no doubt. What excuse did the official movies have?

'Twas a film school project for a friend of a friend at the University of Texas. I believe it was his big final project. It was pitched as a proof-of-concept video to Hollywood, to show them that there is enough meat there in the Drizzt books to make some good movies.

I was invited to join the party. It would've basically amounted to some pretty darn involved LARP sessions! But alas, my work schedule wouldn't jibe with their shooting schedule.

I was that close to playing Bruenor for all you ladies and gents!

better than I could have done. For a fan film, that was pretty good. Agreed though, Wulfgar needed to swallow a box of something to get him bigger. Artemis needed to be thinner too. The chick was decently hot though.

The sword fighting was decent but their swords looked like grilling utensils instead of weapons.

I liked the sword fight stuff. Wulfgar looked like he needs to eat his Wheaties though.
