So here's the question, you need to hire an someone to assassinate Fzoul Chembryl of the Zhentarim. Who of the following do you believe would be the most well-equipped to be able overcome all hurdles and get the job done personally?

Senior Scribe Delnyn,

Yeah, I can appreciate that. That Charon's Claw was pretty insane as a minor artifact though. In the right hands (Artemis'), it was unbelievable.

Best regards,

I went with Artemis assuming he was the mortal Chosen, since it said Zhentarim, and not Xvimlar. Would you change if not the demigod?

Best regards,

If mortal Chosen, then I would choose Kane because of his plot armor.

Are we presuming Fzoul as a mortal Chosen or as I suspect, the demigod? If the latter, than I would opt for Riven as the new Mask.

Try it, but only if ye be a man of valor! For the hamster is a creature so foul, so cruel, that no man yet has fought with him... and lived! BONES of full fifty men lie *strewn* about his lair! So, brave bounty hunter! If you do doubt your courage or your strength, come no further, for death awaits you with nasty, big, pointy teeth...

(Yes, a certain Enchanter named Tim inspired me! )

Ah, but the Ill Omen part doesn't mean I bear bad news -- just that bad news has been known to follow in my wake.

Sounds like a job for a hamster.....

A freaking huge one.....

Like a giant one.....

Who bears bad news

Oh, I've heard of Ayrik... I shan't tell you everything I've heard, but I've heard of him.

Seriously, I get the concept of beer goggles, but a flumph?

Jarlaxle has the style, but style alone won't do I'm afraid.
I'm with Erevis Cale therefore.

And after all of them fail, Malik is hired and accidently stumbles over some boots that one of Fzouls servants didn't put properly away and triggers some weird chain reaction that ends with Fzoul breaking his neck :)

Erevis Cale, the First of Mask

Riven is the God Mask now, so no and Fzoul was somekind of demigod in 4e so its no contest.

Well, if we are allowed to pick off the list, i'll go with Shurrupak the reaper.

Where does it say that Malark is a high level archmage?

Perhaps I miswrote it. but to have any levels in archmage(And be considered an archmage) you need to be able to cast level 7 spells or better, and usually falls into quite a few levels of Wizard. Most pure wizards only get access to Archmage prestige levels around level 14-16.

Might be different with multiclass in 4e, but I had assumed to gain any archmage levels and be a Zulkir, Malark would have to have spent a lot of that 100 years studying pure wizardry with Szass Tam

I pick the novel characters, plot armour beats everything :-)

I'll go with Jarlaxle. He's always able to procure the right tool or weapon for whatever needs to be done.

As much as I love Artemis, he's pretty outclassed by the rest of the list. >_>
