Well met, Candlekeep!

Though I've browsed the forums in search of answers to my questions for ages, I've put off (for no particular reason) actually joining them as a member. Today, I finally decided that, if I was going to keep lurking about, anyway, I ought to at least introduce myself.

My parents got me the yellow-box AD&D starter set, with the Tomb of Damara and House on Harrow Hill modules, when I was 5, and I fell in love and have been playing ever since. Since that box set was somewhat nebulously set in the Forgotten Realms (and included the Book of Lairs), my love affair with D&D—and, indeed, with role-playing, in general—began with the Realms, and is a relationship that has continued since.

Nowadays, much of my time is taken up with running a PbP game called Freehold on RPoL.net, set in Veldorn and running since January of 2011, now home to over 20 unique players and their characters. It's turned out to be a monumental but enjoyable task, and the one that keeps me frequently returning here, to Candlekeep, in order to research bits of obscure lore for the setting.

Thanks for having me, and I look forward to interacting with everyone and, hopefully, getting to know at least some of you quite well, with time!

Thanks for the warm welcome! ^u^

@xaeyruudh: The location wasn't actually my decision, but it's proven to be rewarding.

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Welcome out into the open! Veldorn seems like a great choice of adventuring locations... plenty of danger and wrongs-that-need-righting.
