Anyone plans to attend the subject Con?

The Living Forgotten Realms campaign is set to premiere at that convention... if this truly happens, I really, really think I want to go to this one, and seeing that I would be coming all the way from far-away Canada , I'd really like to know if some of you, fellow scribes, would be there as well... both for logistical and entertainment reasons.

Imagine the stories on this board after we come back! and we could all, collectively corner Ed into accepting a few ales/meads from us! (i.e. this would save him some time... we could even wear our Candlekeep names! )

Anyone else really excited about Living Forgotten Realms and a potential gathering of scribes at GENCON 2008???

True, but there's beautiful nature in every state.

Even in the state of death?

Yes, because when certain sea creatures die, I get to collect their shells.

Except Jersey. That's state's just UGLY. (j/k)

Good.

I know for a fact that there are great spots of wilderness here in NJ. For example, Cape May attracts birdwatchers from all over the world.

LOL,....And I'm already dying to go back and explore more of Florida.

Well that's no way to go about getting to see more of Florida sillyhead!

LOL, I'd go to Alabama if I had the chance. And I'm already dying to go back and explore more of Florida.

Yes I did! Luckily, most of the week the weather was fine and the water was (mostly) calm.

I like that. And it should probably be an observance every year, I think.

I forgot to post this earlier.

I was really impressed that they "shut down" the con on Saturday for a minute or so for a moment of silence for the passing of Gary Gygax. It was very classy.

Anyways. It was fantastic, cant' wait to see the pictures Mrs. James took, along with video she and Brian took. I'm sure I'm a real dork in all of it (as Red said, my hat was quiet the work).

Aye, I have to agree on the hat!!!

...Where you there and seen me or are there pictures I know not?

A lady never gives up her secrets.

The wizard was my greatest concern at the Seminar. I worry about it too but I hope I find some peace in 4th edition or I will be falling back to 3.5 and I want to try this new stuff first.

Shame on you Mage!

It really was quiet fun. I wasn't expecting what I got from the people I did, but I'm not in here enough as I was.

The entire row of Keepers was snickering and laughing on Secrets. It was unfortunate, it honestly was, but some of the things they said honestly didn't make any sense. It really didn't get me convinced into 4e Realms via Wizard. I'm fairly certain we where upsetting another claimed Keeper in the front row whose name escapes me...but none the less.

Now...could someone PM me more on this Pathfinder series? I think my Redeemers might just happen to jump Realms of their own :P

Next year, I intend on wearing my robe and dressing up (and being in the spot of having my picture taken)

I was so impressed by how laid back Brian seemed. What a humble fellow. He has done so much and yet he just seems at peace. I hope he does get more projects like his brother insisted upon. I am so eager to read the new Waterdeep novel series. Erik dropped some tempting tidbits at the seminar. There was so much personality in that seminar Ed Greenwood might have left a newly created mythal in there. Aren't we lucky to have such leaders paddling the boat that is the Forgotten Realms Campaign setting? They really are working to keep things positive and interesting. I regret that I did not approach the Candlekeep crew when I did suspect your lot as being the favored scribes of Oghma.

I know she missed Erik, which is unfortunate. Sorry Erik.

Sniff sniff . . .

Sunday morning, Jeff Thetford and I were sitting outside the Exhibit Hall with Kuje, brainstorming as to where the Lady K might be found. Of course, we had no idea what she looked like or where she was staying or how to contact her. So short of just walking up to every beautiful woman and asking . . .

Oh well. Some other day. And you'll BOTH have to come over.
Aye.

I did provide Kuje with some brief details, though, I missed a few crucial points. It's my fault, actually, that this semi-planned meet went awry very quickly.

And I should've posted a picture. It's a little late now, I know, but the Lady K will be a regular feature in the picture gallery I intend to incorporate into my upcoming website/blog. So you'll all have some idea what to look for next year. [Myself included, hopefully]

I just assumed Ed had the temp on the chilly side for a reason...and Garen Foiled his plot!
Erik Scott de Bie Posted - 19 Aug 2008 : 00:22:14
Yea, well and truly struck, noble Garen. Losing the fair Lady Mazzanoble and her pen of hilarity to Auril's grasp would have been a tragedy for the ages.

Bask in his radiance, lo ye men and womenfolk of the Keep--BASK!!!

Cheers
