I remember reading this somewhere about how the "current year" of the Realms will advance based on how much real world time has advanced but can't seem to find the reference... and it's not in the FAQ (might be a good idea to put it in there).

What's the FR/RW time ratio?

FRCS pg. 260: "...we expect to advance the timeline of the world about two years per five years of game products and novels", which has been roughly kept to.

Its in the FRCS but do note that when that was written a lot of things happened at WOTC after that and so it fell by the wayside at times, so it's not totally accurate.
